Songs & Stories brings exceptional independent artists into an extraordinary setting — a beautifully renovated barn in Bedford Hills, New York — for evenings built around music, conversation and connection.
Most nights, three songwriters sit together in the round, trading songs and the stories behind them. Occasionally, we give the room to a single artist for a full evening and a deeper journey through their work.
There’s no backstage here. No distance between performer and audience. Just a room full of people listening closely, laughing together, discovering new music and sharing an evening that somehow feels both completely relaxed and a little bit magical.

Where are the concerts held?
Songs & Stories takes place at Kim's Bedford Barn, a beautifully renovated barn at a private home in Bedford Hills, New York. Because it is a private residence, we don't publish the street address online. You'll receive the address and arrival information with your ticket confirmation.
Where should I park?
When you arrive, drive toward the house and follow the driveway around the right side. Continue past the silo and you'll find parking in the field just beyond the house. We'll have someone outside to help point you in the right direction.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Usually not. Songs & Stories is an intimate, ticketed series with limited seating, and our shows frequently sell out. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Our email subscribers are the first to hear when tickets go on sale.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the concert runs from 7:00–9:00 PM. Because the concert takes place at a private home, we ask that guests please respect the 6:30 door time rather than arriving early.
Seating is open, so you're welcome to find your favorite spot when you arrive.
What's included with my ticket?
Your $30 ticket includes the concert, beer, wine, seltzer and light snacks. Your ticket also supports those artists directly. Small, independent listening-room concerts like Songs & Stories give working musicians the opportunity to share their music with an attentive audience and be meaningfully compensated for their work. By being in the room, you’re not just discovering great music — you’re helping sustain the artists who make it.

Songs & Stories began with a simple idea: bring remarkable songwriters into a beautiful room, gather people who genuinely want to listen, and see what happens.
More than two years and ten concerts later, that idea has grown into a community.
Curated by singer-songwriters Becki Davis and Thom O'Brien and hosted by Kim Kelly, Songs & Stories takes place in Kim's beautifully renovated Bedford barn — a space that somehow feels made for this kind of music.
We handpick artists whose songs move us and give them something increasingly rare: a room where people are really listening.
Some evenings bring three writers together in a Nashville-style round, swapping songs, stories and spontaneous conversation. Others slow things down even further and give one artist the whole evening.
Either way, the heart of Songs & Stories stays the same.
Great songs. A welcoming room. Artists and audiences close enough to share something real.
